Hi! I'm Christine, and I'm excited to teach you to sew.
I first learned to sew on my Mom's old Singer machine when I was 8 years old. By high school I was making my own gowns for dances. Immediately following high school I studied Apparel Technology for which I earned an associate degree.
In the years since then, I have designed and made countless prom, bridesmaid, pageant and bridal gowns and dance costumes. I have 30+ years experience as an alterations specialist, 10+ years costuming for small local theatre, 6+ years working in production sewing, 5+ years as the house tailor for a men's suit and tuxedo shop, and for 12 years made slightly indulgent and over the top Halloween costumes for my son. (Some of those things run concurrently, and I promise I am not actually 150 years old.)
I am really looking forward to sharing my favorite thing with you, and helping you learn to love it as much as I do.
