Frequently Asked Questions

All of your supplies, from shears and pins to a sewing machine and iron are provided in the classroom.

Machines are provided in the classroom. If you own a machine and would prefer to bring your own, you may. 

Your class fee includes everything except for the fabric and notions (thread, buttons, zipper, etc) that you choose for your project(s). All of your other supplies will be provided.  

 As each class builds on what was learned the week before, it is imperative to attend all classes. That said, we understand that life, illness, and emergencies happen. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to make your class. Every effort will be made to provide a one time makeup before your next regularly scheduled class. If your emergency will keep you out longer than 2 classes (or prohibits you from attending a makeup) you will be rescheduled to the next available class. You will be given the option of joining that class at the same point you left the first one, or starting over at week one to refresh and retaking the entire course (at no additional charge to you.)

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: Safety is paramount. While I live onsite and would be able to hold class regardless of road conditions, we absolutely do not want anyone placing themselves at risk to attend class. If there happens to be a snow or ice event the day of your class, we will skip that night, and make it up by adding on another week at the end. That decision will be made and communicated to you at least 3 hours before the scheduled start of class.

Months of research and sample making was dedicated to choosing projects and patterns that would be suitable for a beginner, give great results and be available in a wide array of sizes.

That said, new classes are being researched all the time, and suggestions are more than welcome. Specifically, we are working on finding an apparel project that meets our goals while offering a more traditionally masculine garment.

Our minimum class size is only 2 people, so if you have an idea for a class and have a friend, email us! We might just be able to create a custom class for you.

Our doors will open 15 minutes before the scheduled start of class. Please arrive early enough to be settled in and ready to begin right at your scheduled time.

Ample on street parking is available. 

Cancellations at least 14 days prior to the beginning of class will be refunded.

Cancellations made 14 or fewer days before the beginning of class will be rescheduled and placed in the next available class.
